Background-

Newcastle-headquartered Square One Law has stepped up as main sponsor of Show Up North, a new three-day women’s lifestyle festival bringing more than 55 sessions to the city, spanning fitness, wellbeing, business, style, confidence, food and lifestyle.

The sponsorship extends an existing relationship between the two organisations, with Square One Law having previously backed the launch party for Show Up Club. The law firm, which also operates offices in Darlington and Leeds, said the festival reflects values it holds close, including inclusive opportunities, regional pride and helping people feel confident being themselves.

Deb Ions, marketing director at Square One Law, said the weekend will give attendees space to try something new, build meaningful connections and prioritise wellbeing in a welcoming environment, adding that the firm is proud to support an event celebrating the region’s talent, energy and independence.

Show Up North was created by North East businesswoman Claire Goodliff, founder of Show Up Club, and carries a strong regional focus, with around 90 percent of its instructors, speakers, coaches, brands and businesses drawn from the North East.

Goodliff said Square One Law and Show Up Club share a natural fit in values around confidence, individuality and inclusion, and credited the firm’s continued backing as central to building the festival into something the region can call its own.

The festival opens at venues across Newcastle before its main weekend programme moves to Event Northumbria, featuring fitness sessions, workshops and talks covering health, sleep, nutrition, money, careers and style, alongside a marketplace showcasing regional brands. Fenwick Newcastle, Scott Sports and Smart Works North East also support the event.
