Background
Danielle L. Martin and Henrietta Walker, shareholders at global law firm Greenberg Traurig’s London office, took top honors at Legal Benchmarking Group’s 2026 Women in Business Law EMEA Awards.
The awards recognize standout women lawyers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Martin took home the Real Estate Lawyer of the Year award for Western Europe, while Walker earned the M&A Lawyer of the Year title in the International category.
Both lawyers were also part of the Greenberg Traurig team that won Real Estate Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2026, an award given for their work advising on the formation of The UK Housing Platform Fund and its £1.1 billion take-private acquisition of The PRS REIT plc.
Greenberg Traurig earned shortlist spots in 11 categories overall, including three Firm of the Year nominations covering the Middle East and North Africa, Poland, and US firms operating in Europe.
Executive Vice President and London Managing Shareholder Fiona Adams was shortlisted for Outstanding Achievement, while London Shareholder Claire Broadbelt earned a nod for Thought Leader of the Year in Western Europe.
Several other lawyers received individual shortlist recognition, including Hannah Blom-Cooper in litigation, Broadbelt in white collar crime, Angela Croker in project finance, and Agnieszka Stankiewicz in real estate for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Adams said the recognition reflects the expertise and collaborative approach that defines the firm’s London office, adding that the broader shortlist highlights the depth of talent across the firm’s practices in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
