Carl Holmes comes from Freeths and brings more than 20 years of experience in commercial litigation. He has represented clients including Aldi and has a wide-ranging practice covering commercial and contract disputes, professional negligence claims, and multiple dispute resolution forums such as the High Court, Court of Appeal, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. Holmes takes over from departing partner Andrew Holt.
Holmes commented, “Wilkin Chapman Rollits has an excellent commercial litigation department, which aligns perfectly with my expertise. With the firm’s prime presence in the agricultural and food & beverage sectors, I am excited to advance my career while contributing to the firm’s continued growth.”
Lucy Reding, promoted to partner in the Lincoln office, specializes in family law. She advises on complex divorce cases involving pensions, businesses, farming families, and inherited wealth, with a particular focus on public sector and military clients. Reding, who joined the firm as a trainee in 2015 and qualified in 2017, was recognized as an “Associate to Watch” by Chambers & Partners in 2023.

Her Hull-based team of 11 lawyers advises on complex wills, trusts, probate, and estate administration. Fahy is also a trustee of Hull4Heroes, supporting military veterans and their families.
Fahy said, “It’s a privilege to help individuals and business owners across the region safeguard their assets ahead of key inheritance tax changes coming in April 2026. Leading this team in my new role is both a challenge and a rewarding opportunity.”
