Background-
Opus 2, a legal technology firm, picked up the Best SaaS Solution for Law and Legal Services title at the SaaS Awards, its fifth honor in five months. The award points to steady progress in AI development across the company’s legal solutions platform, which supports a range of tools used by law firms and legal teams.
Lead Judge Stephen Backhouse said the SaaS Awards single out solutions built around the practical needs of working professionals, and that Opus 2 keeps delivering strong backing for litigation and arbitration teams.
He added that the platform slots into existing workflows instead of overhauling them, a design choice that should push adoption higher among users. Backhouse further noted that Opus 2’s AI keeps every output linked back to its source material while protecting client data, a distinction he said sets it apart from generic, entry-level language models.
Opus 2 designs its tools around what modern legal teams need day to day, blending legal knowledge with AI-backed security features that let organizations handle complex cases, work together more effectively and reach stronger results.
The firm sits at the top of the disputes software market, with 96 percent of Am Law 50 firms and 92 percent of the Financial Times’ most innovative firms on its client list.
Now marking ten years since its start in 2016, the SaaS Awards stands among the top global programs honoring software-as-a-service achievements, judged by a panel with backgrounds spanning technical, business, academic and marketing fields.
Opus 2’s award run extends further back too. The firm claimed the CODiE Award for Best Legal Solution for the second time in three years, plus three Gold American Business Awards covering Best Legal Company Large, Best Legal Solution and People’s Choice for Best Legal Solution. It has also picked up mentions at the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards and the AI Awards.
