Background:
Minster Law has unveiled plans for a nationwide expansion this year as part of its continued growth strategy. The firm, which currently operates from its headquarters in Wakefield, confirmed it will open a new office in central London in the first half of the year. Two additional office openings are also under consideration as the company seeks to broaden its national presence.
The firm looks to strengthen its serious injury practice to achieve its internal goal to reach clients face-to-face within a two-hour travel window. Establishing a base in London’s Square Mile will also place the firm closer to insurer partners, further strengthening its long-standing relationships within the sector.
RTA, known for handling lower-value road traffic claims, and the Ministry of Law have now adapted strongly to industry reforms, as well as the changes brought under the Civil Liability Act. The firm handled large volumes of claims and enhanced its internal systems to grow its serious injury division. This helped the company strengthen its position in the market and maintain steady growth. Today, the company employs around 250 people across both practice areas.
Chief Executive Shirley Woolham emphasized that long-term partnerships with insurers and brokers have been central to the firm’s success. She mentioned that operating at scale has enabled the firm to note serious and life-changing injuries at an early stage and see to it that the clients receive timely support.
At the end of 2025, Minister Law reported a post-tax profit of £2.6 million and a huge increase from £354,000 the previous year. The turnover rose by 16% to £42.5 million; also, the net assets reached £48.5 million.
The firm aims to achieve £100 million by 2030 through organic and strategic acquisitions.
