Background:
LexisNexis Legal & Professional has announced the U.S. commercial preview of Protégé Workflows, a new platform designed to make legal work faster and easier. The system combines many ready-to-use workflows with LexisNexis’ legal content to help lawyers with research, drafting, and reviewing documents.
This launch brings together tools that were previously separate into one easy-to-use interface. The platform supports both general legal tasks and specialized areas, with advanced workflows for fields like mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and real estate coming soon. A judicial workflow previously announced by LexisNexis is also integrated into the platform.
LexisNexis’ internal legal team has been using Protégé Workflows to handle multiple daily tasks, including reviewing contracts, evaluating redlines, and identifying key risk areas. Alex Smyth, Executive Vice President and General Counsel for LexisNexis Legal & Professional, emphasized the benefits: “Using these workflows, we can perform tasks in a fraction of the usual time, while maintaining consistency across the team. “It helps us focus on the important parts of a contract and quickly highlight high-risk clauses,” said LexisNexis.
The system is reliable, with all citations linked directly to LexisNexis sources. Any references that aren’t linked are marked, so legal teams can work accurately and confidently.
The U.S. commercial preview starts on February 1, with plans to expand to Canada, the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. Sean Fitzpatrick, CEO of LexisNexis North America, UK, and Ireland, said: “Clients asked for solutions that fit smoothly into their existing processes. Protégé Workflows provides exactly that, supporting legal professionals around the world.”
Protégé Workflows is helping legal teams work faster, more efficiently, and with greater confidence.
