Jones Myers, a specialist family law firm, has kept its place among the UK’s top legal practices after being ranked at the highest level again in the Legal 500 and Chambers 2026 guides. The achievement marks more than three decades of continuous recognition for the firm’s specialist expertise.

The Legal 500 2026 review praises Jones Myers as a “fantastic team” known for “managing clients’ expectations” and highlights its child abduction department as “a leader for all of Yorkshire.” The firm’s Financial Remedies Department, led by managing partner Richard Peaker, continues to handle high-value and cross-border disputes involving complex corporate and offshore structures. Peaker maintains his status as a Leading Partner.

Children’s Department head Kate Banerjee also retains her Leading Partner ranking. Her team’s work spans public and private children law, including international abduction cases, jurisdictional matters, and care proceedings.

Other individuals recognised include Partner Anthony Parrish, who keeps his Next Generation Partner status, with Partner Elizabeth Bell and in-house Barrister Andrew Fox named as Key Lawyers. Partner and mediator Nicki Mitchell is also featured for her expertise in both family and mediation categories.

The Chambers 2026 guide also highlights Jones Myers’ strong performance, with the firm keeping its Band 1 ranking for Yorkshire. The listing recognises Peaker, Banerjee, Bell and Mitchell for their contributions across family law and mediation.

Commenting on the achievement, Managing Partner Richard Peaker said the team is “immensely proud” of the firm’s longstanding rankings. “These listings demonstrate the depth and breadth of expertise of our outstanding family lawyers across Leeds, Harrogate and York,” he added, extending thanks to the firm’s committed teams.

Founded in 1992 as one of the North’s first specialist family law firms, Jones Myers continues to expand its presence across its Leeds headquarters and its offices in York and Harrogate, supported by its own in-house counsel.
